Tobat Group LLC was founded in 1999 by Ian D. Packer and Scott T. Brock (the “Partners”) as the expansion of a successful investment partnership over the prior five years at E.W. Blanch Holdings, Inc. Tobat’s investment activity is highly focused, concentrating solely on the financial services industry with a particular emphasis on the insurance sector. The Partners have directly invested in more than 34 private equity transactions during their 14 years of working as a team. Our hands-on, active management of portfolio companies has enabled us to generate superior returns through periods of difficult market conditions, economic challenges and industry weakness. Throughout our investment partnership the Partners have returned a composite 8.5 percent annually to our investors, a 2.1 multiple of the capital invested. |
